A Note From Our President - Mike Prevost

Americans are celebrating our 250^th Anniversary as a free and prosperous democracy, and I hope you have big plans for the Fourth of July this year.   USA, USA, USA, USA!

Florida Irrigation Society is also celebrating this year.  It is our 60^th Anniversary, and I hope you will consider attending the Water Summit at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort at Walt Disney World Resort July 23^rd – 25^th.  We have a great lineup of speakers, product displays, and family fun opportunities.  

There is a new tour on July 23^rd with the WDW Horticulture/Irrigation leaders to review the advanced irrigation control systems and methods used at Walt Disney World Resort.

For your benefit, FIS continues to advance the licensure of irrigation contractors, provide education for irrigation technicians, and help municipalities develop reasonable irrigation water use regulations. Your participation with FIS is valuable to you and to the entire irrigation industry. 

Just like your voting, supporting community groups, and creating jobs has helped America reach this 250^th milestone year, you can also help FIS with your participation. Consider attending one of your local Chapter Meetings, attending the Water Summit or helping bring new members into the Society.
