James R. Huston, MBA, CPE, the president and founder of J.R. Huston Enterprises, passed way in April 2025 at the age of 75.  He was well known to many FIS members for his irrigation estimating courses throughout Florida and workshops at FIS Water Summits. For more than 35 years, Jim was a transformative figure in the Green Industry, dedicating his life to helping others succeed. As a Certified Professional Landscape Estimator, he set a standard of excellence that inspired countless landscape, tree service and irrigation contractors.
