Author: The Southwest Florida Chapter will host “Emma’s 3rd Annual Fishing Tournament” on October 8, 2011. All proceeds will go to “Emma Faith Hall” to help with her therapy cost. Emma was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 3 months of age and has been fighting setbacks since. The doctors did not give her much of a chance and thought she would not make it to the age of one. Today she is 8 years old and learning to walk, speak and read Braille.

Southwest Florida Chapter to participate in fund raising golf tournament.
The Southwest Florida Chapter will participate in the 8th Annual Jim Cook Sr. Classic Golf Tournament. The proceeds from this golf tournament will benefit the Kenny King Family. Judy King, Kenny’s wife is battling cancer, and the proceeds from this tournament will assist in her trips to Houston for treatment.

Does anyone know what the final word was on the BOCC decision to stop all irrigation for the Tampa Bay Area?
Last I heard Kevin OBrien and others attended a BOCC meeting where they were split down the middle on this? Curious to know if this is heading our way?
