    Learn the basics of hydraulics and irrigation system installation and maintenance. This session covers an overview of irrigation system components and how they operate. Learn about gluing and repairing PVC pipe, installing nozzles and adjusting heads, setting and repairing electric valves.

    Pump Motor & Controls Troubleshooting 1:00-5:00pm
    This program will provide a basic overview of the topics covered in the morning program plus a more in-depth segment on motor and controls troubleshooting. Troubleshooting will include testing motor winding resistance and insulation resistance as well as the various components within motor control boxes.

    Join the Florida Irrigation Society for a virtual exam preparation workshop (March 2018) for the required exams needed to obtain a Florida Irrigation State Contractor license.  This format will allow those in remote areas or with limited travel time to participate in FIS classes designed specifically for irrigation contractors.

    March 6-7 (Technical) 4:00-8:00pm
    The sessions will be recorded so attendees can access them after the instruction period has ended. The workshops are 100% virtual – no need to travel!  Registered attendees will be given a link to the webinars and instructions on how to participate.

    Fee COVERS: Live instruction by experienced exam prep instructor who has passed the license exam and study guides. Books are not included in fee. No Pass Guarantee: If attendee fails the exam, he/she may retake the workshop at no cost within 12 months of the exam.

    BOOKS: The Irrigation Contractor licensing exam is an open book exam. Books allowed as reference during the State Exam must in-hand for use during the session(s).  Contact the Florida Irrigation Society to get exam book ordering information.
